WhatsApp down! Users are experiencing issues with message sending and receiving.
Many people use WhatsApp, a well-known messaging service owned by Meta, to send rapid texts. However, there may be a problem as messages cannot now be sent or received by WhatsApp users in India. The outage monitoring service DownDetector reveals that thousands of customers are experiencing problems with WhatsApp.
On Tuesday afternoon, WhatsApp started acting up with messages not going through to receivers, especially in groups. As a result, Twitter was inundated with memes from WhatsApp users worldwide who went there to see if others were experiencing the same issue.
According to the website’s heat map, affected areas include cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Lucknow, but the worry is that consumers worldwide are being impacted.
Acknowledging the issue, a Meta spokesperson said the company is working to restore services ‘as quickly as possible.’
Although WhatsApp hasn’t made an official announcement yet, the application usage is now restored and working for some users. However, the reason for this application outage is not out yet. The application outage causes major issues for people and becomes a meme topic for twitteratis!
