It is not often that an industry built online comes together offline in a way that feels this real. But that is exactly what Wishlink managed to do with the second edition of Creators of Change, held in Delhi last weekend. Bringing together over 400 creators and brand partners, the evening felt less like a formal event and more like a reflection of how far India’s creator economy has come.
From fashion and beauty to lifestyle and culture, the room was filled with voices that are not just shaping trends, but influencing how people discover and shop today.
Wishlink may be working behind-the-scenes for most people, but when it comes to leveraging influence for profit, the platform has been very much in the front lines. Creators of Change was all about doing just that.
The event included awards that went out to creators who went well past making content to create sustainable communities and successful ventures. However, more than just rewarding outstanding individuals, it was also an acknowledgment of the movement from the realm of creating content to creating successful ventures.
Frame by Frame, a documentary produced by Wishlink and presented during the evening, took a critical look at the hard work involved in becoming a successful creator. Tarini Shah, Simran Balar Jain, and Karan Gangwani shared their experiences in the film.
Past the stage performances, the event was defined by experiences crafted for various brands and interactives set up to immerse the attendees into the moment. It was truly an engaging environment, full of conversations that were happening as naturally as content creation.
Among those who graced the event were Tarini Shah, Sanya Mirwani, Pari Dua, Asfi & Dolly Javed, Simran Balar Jain, Anushka Hazra, Tarun Kinra, and Aditi Shrestha – to name a few.
It cannot be denied that we have not yet mentioned the scale. Just over the past month, Wishlink saw more than 1 lakh creators generate 50 lakh pieces of content that gained billions of impressions and reached out to millions of consumers.
While the sheer scale of this event made it hard to miss, what made it really remarkable was what it stood for. More people, more companies, more stories. But the common conviction remained the same.
As mentioned by Co-founder Divyansh Ameta, it is not only an evening of recognition for awards, but also an appreciation of those who have created something meaningful. And that idea resonated throughout the whole event.
In many respects, the Creators of Change Award felt like a celebration but also like a statement. Namely, that today’s creators are no longer just part of the system, but rather shape it themselves.
And judging by this year’s edition, Wishlink is far from finished.
