WhatsApp comes with an update everyone has been waiting for, reply to WhatsApp messages with Unlimited emojis, which let users react with any emoji, not just the default chosen six from the lot. The announcement has been made just a few days before World Emoji Day which is celebrated on 17 July.
Earlier this month, it was reported that WhatsApp had started testing a new feature for the Message Reactions tool. The feature will enable both iOS and Android users to use all available emojis to react to WhatsApp messages. For those unaware, WhatsApp started testing the Message Reactions feature four years back.
1] Long-pressing the message you want to react to.
2] It will open the menu containing the previous six emoji reactions along with a new plus icon.
3] User will get access to the all-emoji feature with the new plus (+) icon.
4] Tap the plus icon, and it will open a menu containing users the entire emoji library where they can use any one of them to react to a message.
Every available emoji, ranging from standard smiley faces to recent additions and also includes different skin tone variations.
Zuckerberg took to Instagram to make this announcement. The Instagram post reads, “We’re rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp. Some of my favorites include…”.
In the post, Zuckerberg shared some of his favorite emojis for Reactions such as robot face, french fries, man surfing, sunglasses smiley, the 100 percent symbol, and the fist bump.
The expanded emoji reactions feature is rolling out now and will be available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.
