Sonam Kapoor Will Be Seen At The Charles III Coronation

Sonam Kapoor has always been at the forefront with her winning fashion game. She also rules the media for being one of the few Bollywood actresses who does not shy away from raising her opinions. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has recently been in the news for being invited to the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles III which is anticipated to be a star-studded affair. 

The Grand Affair

The Grand Coronation Concert will happen on the 6th of  May at the Westminister Abbey where King Charles III will be officially crowned as the King of England along with his wife Camilla, who will be crowned as the Queen Consort.

Sonam Kapoor is the only Bollywood Actress who has been invited to be a part of the celebrations and dine with the royalty. The Coronation Concert will witness the likes of Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Alongside, Hollywood Celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Joan Collins and Tom Jones will send their regards through a pre-recorded video message.

Sonam Kapoor’s Performance

Sonam Kapoor will not only attend the event as a guest but also will be performing at the Coronation Concert. She will do an exclusive word piece as a prelude to the great virtual choir performance by the 56 Commonwealth countries that will include a combination of solo artists, duos and choirs. In this, Steve Winwood will perform a modern rendition of his classic song, “Higher Love” accompanied by a 70 pieces Orchestra. 

Sonam Kapoor in a statement expressed her joy on receiving the invite. She is also very excited about her Word performance as a prelude to the virtual choir. Sonam’s Word Performance will be a thing of pride because this Royal Affair is a big platform which will be telecasted live on various internationally acclaimed channels and will be followed by thousands of people. The Coronation ceremony also has the honour of many other celebrities and dignitaries, when an Indian will speak amongst this crowd, it will bring attention to the whole of India as a country.
