Netflix: Launching A Free Plan in Vietnam

When Netflix released Squid Games, it immediately became the most popular series among Netflix’s members in Vietnam. The situation was the same with Money Heist: Part 5 Vol. 1 along with Emily in Paris last year. Netflix says that this ecstatic response proves that great stories from around the world bring tremendous joy and entertainment to the people of Vietnam. Hence, Netflix is Introducing something new: “A Free plan that will let anyone with an Android phone in Vietnam enjoy Netflix for free, without any ads.”

After Kenya, Vietnam will be the second country in the world and first in Asia where Netflix is rolling out a free plan for users to experience. The process is very simple. All one has to do is enter their email, confirm that they are 18 or over, and create a password. Upon signing up for the free plan, Netflix won’t be asking for any payment information and users can immediately start watching many of Netflix’s shows.

You can also enjoy the amazing Netflix features that our members already love. Get recommendations tailored to your taste. Create up to five profiles (including kids’) for everyone in your house. And add shows and movies to ‘My List’ to watch later. In the coming months, the download feature will also be made available in the Free plan so that you can watch your favorite Netflix shows while on the go and even without an Internet connection.

For those with children at home, you can access popular parental controls like maturity settings for age-appropriate entertainment; profile PINs to lock off access to one or all profiles; and even the ability to monitor what your little ones have been watching.” says Netflix.

Netflix believes that “great stories have the ability to uplift us, move us and bring us closer to each other.” These free plans are a great way to experience the great stories on the OTT platforms and with the audience developing liking towards it they can always upgrade to a paid plan and continue to enjoy watching Netflix on even bigger screens!
