How To Make Choco Lava Cake ft. Chef Dhanashri

Let’s learn how to make this yummy delicacy!

Here are the Ingredients that you will need:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 4 oz (115g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Cocoa powder or powdered sugar (for dusting)

Let’s Get Baking!

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar to prevent sticking.

Melt the Chocolate and Butter:
In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.

Add Sugar and Eggs:
Whisk the powdered sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined. Add the eggs and egg yolks, one at a time, whisking after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Incorporate Flour:
Add the flour and a pinch of salt to the chocolate mixture. Gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Pour into Ramekins:
Evenly divide the batter among the prepared ramekins. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet for easier handling.

Bake:
Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft and slightly jiggly. Do not overbake; the center should be gooey.

Garnish:

In the end, dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder if desired. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy your rich and gooey Choco Lava Cakes!

As we wrap up this delightful World Chocolate Day with Pastry Chef Dhanashri, our hearts and taste buds are filled with sweet memories and mouth-watering creations. We hope you feel inspired to bring a touch of chocolate magic into your kitchen and create delicious moments of your own!
