New features are frequently added to WhatsApp to improve the effectiveness of communication, and now the platform is developing a tool for newsletters.
A new feature that will enable content creators to share their newsletter on the platform is allegedly being developed by Meta-owned WhatsApp. The platform, which is primarily used for private messaging, may alter usage patterns as a result of this feature update, making the application a viable option for mass communication.
A report from WABetaInfo claims that WhatsApp is testing a private “Newsletter” tool that will be available through a different Status tab, independent of private chats, and optional. The end-to-end encryption of private messaging will not be compromised by the new function.
However, it is not yet known if the forthcoming feature will continue to go by the codename “Newsletter” or if it will have a different name in official documents.
The study also stated that users should be able to control their followers and maintain their privacy. New features are frequently added to WhatsApp to improve the effectiveness of communication.
In other developments, a feature that will enable users to edit their messages for up to 15 minutes in order to fix any mistakes or add new information is allegedly being developed by WhatsApp. Additionally, a message will be shown if the WhatsApp app on your smartphone does not support the feature.
