Rent movies from Amazon Prime Video- Here’s How

Amazon Prime Video recently unveiled a stellar content line-up of originals and has been making news in the OTT world. Now, the OTT platform has brought up its store for its audience. Amazon Prime Video has launched a new ‘Amazon Prime Store‘ in India for subscribers and non-prime subscribers. The store will allow Indian users to rent movies-both international and regional-on the platform.

There used to be a time when people could rent a particular DVD or CD for a day or so. The rental movie concept is old and modernized in a way that suits the dynamic environment. Rental service stores used to give physical DVDs and CDs for a fixed amount and time which could be played via particular CD/DVD players only. However, Amazon has launched Prime Video Store, which will be available to both Prime members and non-members which is a plus point.

The news was shared with a tweet by the official page of Amazon Prime Video India.

The service will enable customers to get early rental access to Indian and international films. The movies will be available for 48 hours once they start watching. The price of a rental movie can vary from Rs 69 to Rs 499.

This service will turn out to be useful for users who do not want to pay a yearly sum to Amazon. The users can rent single movies and pay for that only instead of paying a subscription fee. The services are similar to Google’s rent a movie option on YouTube and Amazon’s transaction-video-on-demand service. This update comes after the recent 5-year celebration of Amazon Prime where they announced 40+ new titles for the upcoming months.
