Never Have I Ever Season 2 Offloads Drama

On Friday, June 18, Netflix seized the opportunity to unveil the trailer for the second season of the hit series Never Have I Ever. The coming-of-age comedy, starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, follows Devi, an Indian-origin American adolescent who gets caught up in high school drama, family problems, and romantic relationships. The second season of the Netflix original, created by executive producer Mindy Kaling with Lang Sher serving as co-creator, executive producer, showrunner, and writer, will premiere on July 15.

The nearly two-minute-long teaser for season 2 picks up precisely where season 1 left off, with imagery reflecting Devi’s struggle to choose between Paxton and Ben. The story opens with a whiteboard listing the advantages and disadvantages of dating Paxton over Ben. Eleanor and Fabiola, Devi’s friends, voted for Paxton. Devi, unable to choose between them, considers dating both of them until her mother decides to relocate them to India. Devi summarises, disregarding Fabiola’s exclamation, “Definitely not!” “So, you’re suggesting I should just have two lovers,” Devi concludes. Devi appears to date both guys at the same time, according to the teaser.

Never Have I Ever Season 2 will also focus on Fabiola, Eleonor, and her mother’s new love relationships, as well as Nalini’s new romantic ties. In this season of Never Have I Ever, Nalini will meet paths with Dr Chris Jackson, a sophisticated and charming dermatologist, according to the makers. Just when you think Devi has enough on her plate, the filmmakers insert Aneesa, played by Megan Suri, as “another Indian girl who is prettier, cooler.” Devi believes that Aneesa is a threat to her reputation at school. The second season of the teen drama is sure to be loaded with romance, comedy, and camaraderie, with every stupid decision stirring up a beehive.

So, till my pen writes more for you, watch a rerun of Season 1 and the Season 2 trailer. I hope you’re as ecstatic as I am.
