This accolade follows a string of other awards for the epic, including, Scorsese himself earning the title of Best Director and Lily Gladstone taking home the honour for Best Actress. The board, composed of film enthusiasts and academics, lauded the film as a “stunning masterpiece” and highlighted its complexity, importance, and the profound impact it had.
