Instagram has always been active in upgrading new elements in the app for smooth and advanced usage. From launching reels to filters, a lot more additional features have been added. The concept of monetizing, affiliate, audio rooms, etc. are all packaged in the already added or upcoming new features. Just last year, Instagram introduced badges in live so that people can support their favourite creators during live videos.
Allowing fans to purchase multiple badges during a live stream and giving creators the ability to highlight their earning goals are all associated with it. As stated by Instagram Business Team on the Instagram blog, “Once purchased, badges appear next to a person’s name throughout the live video. Fans who have purchased badges will stand out in the comments and unlock additional features, including placement on a creator’s list of badge holders and access to a special heart.”
On June 11, 2021, Instagram announced through its ‘creators’ account “Updates to badges!” Creators will be rewarded with bonuses for using “best practices within badges in Live.” Instagram’s @Creators gives an example, “creators will be able to earn a bonus when they go live consistently or when they go live with another account.” For now, only the creators who have been invited to use badges are eligible to try it out.
