Instagram is taking its shopping venture Instagram Shopping to greater heights by introducing two new features: Camera Search and Visual Search.
Camera Search is a visual search engine that will allow users to search products in shops by taking a photo or choosing an image from their device’s gallery. Popular app developer Alessandro Paluzzi on his twitter shared images of what could be Instagram’s new addition “Camera Search“
Camera Search is based on a similar interface like that of Google Lens, where one simply has to take a photo to search about almost anything. Although when compared Google Lens is much more diverse than Camera Search.
Instagram’s Visual Search feature will allow users to search for products in a shop that they might have come across in a post. Alessandro Paluzzi even shared images of how the feature will look like.
Both Camera Search and Visual Search features will only make Instagram more accessible for shopping. However currently both of them are under work in progress (WIP) and will be released soon.
