Inside Twarita Nagar’s Retro Romance in Jaane Jaan ft. Hamza Syed

Digital star Twarita Nagar has been no stranger to screens, but this time, she’s stepping into something more cinematic with her latest project, Jaane Jaan, a soulful track by Parth Srivastava produced under T-Series. Starring alongside Hamza Syed, the video blends retro charm with a fresh, dreamy aesthetic that captures old-school romance in the middle of pouring rain.

Talking about how she came on board, Twarita shared that her decision was almost instant. “We were already in conversations with T-Series, and when I heard the song, I instantly knew I had to be a part of it. Before this, I had heard Uljane and absolutely loved Parth’s voice. I’m drawn to work that feels original and has a certain retro charm, and Jaane Jaan had exactly that. I knew I just couldn’t let this one pass.”

Her excitement only grew stronger once she first heard the track. “It felt so retro yet so fresh. It had this timeless quality that instantly hooked me, and when I saw the video concept, it just felt dreamy and magical.”

The music video’s dreamy quality was brought alive through a carefully crafted storyboard. Twarita credits her director for setting the tone: “The storyboard itself was so beautiful and detailed. It was cute, whimsical, and full of charm. That vision made it very easy for me to get into character and deliver the performance.”

One of the highlights of the video is the effortless chemistry between Twarita and co-star Hamza Syed. Their natural comfort with each other translated seamlessly on screen. “Hamza is actually a good friend, so there was a natural comfort from the start. Shooting with him was effortless we worked in sync. If he faced any hiccups, I’d help him out, and if I had an issue, he’d step in.”

Shooting in the rain wasn’t without its challenges, but it also created moments of laughter. Twarita recalls, “It took over an hour to style my hair perfectly… and then we had to shoot in the rain. In the video, you can see that my hair goes completely flat! By the end, Hamza and I were fully drenched and constantly cracking jokes about it.”

For Twarita, Jaane Jaan marked a refreshing departure from her usual digital content. “Sometimes, you need a break from your usual style to explore something new. Doing something cinematic allowed me to learn from others on set, gain new perspectives, and challenge myself creatively.”

As for what she hopes audiences take away, she says, “I want them to experience the pure bliss of Parth’s voice – he’s done a phenomenal job. Beyond that, I hope they enjoy the freshness of the storyline. In a time when dating often happens through swipes on apps, Jaane Jaan offers a sweet, old-school romance that feels both nostalgic and new.”

If she had to describe it in one word? For Twarita, it’s right there in the title—beautiful.
